Make a quick shutdown and restart icon.

If you want to shutdown or restart your computer by simply clicking on desktop icon, you can do so by creating a shortcut for that. In this shortcut we give a path to the windows file "shutdown.exe" which is responsible for the shutdown process.

Lets create a shutdown icon.
1) Right click at you desktop -> New -> Shortcut.

2) Type shutdown -s -t 0 in the location box and click next.



3) Type Shutdown in the name box and press finish.

You will find a new icon on your desktop. When you will click on this icon your computer will start shutting down.

Now if you want to make a restart icon, simply type shutdown -r -t 0 instead of shutdown -s -t 0 in the location box.
